Welcome to our family. We are proud to offer 10 residency positions each year through the Match, providing comprehensive training in family medicine with a strong emphasis on the needs of our diverse and multicultural patient population. Our program remains deeply committed to the communities we serve, with continued investment in community engagement and patient-centered care.

Our residents receive broad, high-quality training across the full spectrum of family medicine, including outpatient, inpatient, and emergency care settings. We offer a structured yet flexible learning environment that balances close supervision with progressive autonomy, ensuring residents develop both confidence and competence. Our robust didactic curriculum includes regular conferences and opportunities to engage at local, regional, and national levels—both as learners and presenters. We continue to emphasize Behavioral Health integration, as well as critical competencies such as Medication-Assisted Treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorders. We have a keen interest in Osteopathy, Integrative Medicine, Musculoskeletal Medicine and Ultrasound.

You will train in a dynamic and evolving community hospital environment supported by our regional partner, WMC Health. As the only residency program based in Ulster County, we place residents and medical students at the center of our teaching mission. Our state-of-the-art campus features advanced capabilities, including cardiac catheterization services, a full ICU, and Inpatient Psychiatric unit and an expanded Emergency Department equipped with modern imaging technology.

Since joining the faculty in 2005 and serving in leadership roles over the years, I remain deeply committed to the mission of education and service at the Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency and our sponsor, the Institute for Family Health. We have built a diverse and dedicated faculty with a wide range of clinical interests, all focused on supporting your growth as a physician. We are steadfast in our commitment to delivering high-quality care to all patients, especially underserved and marginalized groups, regardless of ability to pay or social circumstances. We are deeply committed to wellness and preparing our residents to meet the evolving demands of Family Medicine in this year and beyond.

We are passionate about what we do and look forward to welcoming you to our program.

Sincerely,

Megan McMullan, MD
