Sarah Wilkinson is a clinical social worker who has practiced psychotherapy in community and hospital based outpatient mental health clinics in Manhattan and the Bronx. Before joining the Institute for Family Health, Ms. Wilkinson worked for over ten years at the Mount Sinai Roosevelt Center for Intensive Treatment of Personality Disorders, where she provided supervision to psychology trainees and psychiatry residents. Among her clinical interests are Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mentalization, Transference Focused Psychotherapy, and group psychotherapy. Prior to training as a social worker, Ms. Wilkinson worked in adult education, providing instruction, designing curriculum and professional development, and training teachers. At the Harlem Residency, Ms. Wilkinson oversees the psychosocial curriculum, and precepts and teaches residents about psychosocial issues in family medicine practice. She speaks proficient Spanish.
