Dr. Iqbal spent his early childhood in Pakistan, and the rest in Belleville, Illinois. He considers himself a native of both the central Punjab and the Midwest. He attended UMKC, where he earned his Bachelors in Chemistry. He worked afterwards as an eye bank technician with the Lions Eye Bank and then studied medicine at Saba University in the Dutch Caribbean. Afterwards, Dr. Iqbal spent time teaching 3rd and 4th Year medical students at Kingsbrook University Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he developed a love for teaching. He now calls Kingston, NY home and has been involved in various community health projects in the area. His professional interests include community and preventative medicine, teaching, and geriatrics. His personal interests are traveling, rock climbing and spending time with his family. He is also keen to explore the various hiking trails and learn how to ski and snowboard in the Hudson Valley Catskills Region.
