Jiana Menendez, MD, MPH
Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
Dr. Jiana Menendez grew up in Northern Virginia, where she attended a magnet school for science and technology. From there she enrolled in art school at Savannah College of Art and Design, before returning to the sciences and earning a biology degree from the College of William and Mary. She attended Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai for her medical education, taking a scholarly year to earn a Master of Public Health degree from East Carolina University. In medical school she was active in sexual health education in middle and high schools around New York City, as well as within her medical school. Her interests include women’s health, sexual health, underserved populations, homeless medicine, global health and integrative medicine. In addition to her medical aspirations Dr. Menendez enjoys cooking, traveling, drawing and spending time with her family and animals.
