Dr. Alyssa Finn was born and grew up in Massachusetts. She attended Middlebury College in Vermont, where she studied religion and Spanish. Afterwards, she lived in Boulder, Colorado and worked as a caseworker at a homeless shelter for families. Dr. Finn moved to Brooklyn, NY to study nutrition and complete a post-baccalaureate program in pre-medicine. Thereafter, she moved back to her home state to attend UMass Medical School. Dr. Finn’s medical interests are in the areas of mind-body medicine, spirituality in medicine, nutritional medicine and palliative care.
In the rest of her life, Dr. Finn enjoys anything outside, but especially likes to hike, camp, swim in natural bodies of water and peruse farmer’s markets. She also finds solace in her grounding practices of meditation, yoga, cooking, pickling, reading and taking care of her plants.
