Dr. Robert “Red” Schiller honored at CUNY School of Medicine Commencement and White Coat Ceremony

On July 29, 2026, Dr. Robert “Red” Schiller was posthumously honored with the Dr. H. Jack Geiger Icon Award at the CUNY School of Medicine 2026 Commencement and White Coat Ceremony. This award recognizes individuals whose careers exemplify an unwavering commitment to advancing health equity, expanding access to care, and addressing the social determinants of health.

At this special event, BS and MPS students graduated from their programs and new student physicians received their white coats and took their oaths as the class of 2030.
