About Our Residencies

THE EVOLUTION OF HEALTH CARE STARTS WITH YOU.

As a family medicine resident with the Institute for Family Health, you’ll come face-to-face with the challenges facing the U.S. health care system – and learn just how much outstanding primary care can do to fix them. From the diverse patients we serve, to our faculty’s commitment to social justice and health equity, to our cutting-edge approach to primary care service delivery, you’ll gain the experience you need to heal people, strengthen communities and ensure that health care serves the most vulnerable people in New York and beyond.

Mission:

The mission of the Institute for Family Health is to improve access to high quality, patient-centered primary health care targeted to the needs of medically underserved communities.

In support of its mission, the Institute’s residency programs train family physicians to provide outstanding family medical care in diverse communities.
