Nosheen Nazakat, MD, MHS

Dr. Nosheen Nazakat was born in Pakistan and came to the United States when she was 11 years old. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY and went to St. Francis College in downtown Brooklyn, where she received her undergraduate degree. Dr. Nazakat received her medical degree from St. Matthew’s University School of Medicine. She moved to Missouri where her husband joined a residency program and after living there for three years they decided to return to New York where to be close to family and friends. Dr. Nazakat’s long-term career goal is to work as a family physician while also exploring the epidemiology of illness, health care policy and empowerment of low-income communities. She feels all of this is possible at Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Nazakat’s personal interests include cooking, going to the movies, reading about different cultures and spending time with her four year old daughter, amazing husband and family.
