Andres Gonzalez, MD
The Mid-Hudson Family Medicine Residency Program attracted Dr. Andres Gonzalez because of the unique community-oriented Primary Care aspect. After meeting many of the light-hearted, caring and diverse group of faculty and residents, he knew he was home! He enjoys working in an underserved urban/rural area. Dr. Gonzalez is drawn to the diversity and broadness of family medicine as well as the personal relationships that develop with the patients. He is particularly interested in preventive medicine, sports medicine and international medicine. As a family physician, Dr. Gonzalez wants to be an advocate for his patients and explore the socioeconomic barriers that surround medicine. In his spare time, he enjoys trying out new restaurants and exploring the different neighborhoods/museums/parks of New York, catching up on his favorite TV series (i.e. Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead) on Amazon Prime and hanging out with family and friends.
