Alona Nayot, MD
Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University
Dr. Alona Nayot was born and raised in Toronto, Canada, and studied Biochemical Engineering at Western University in London, Ontario. During university she volunteered with first response teams, which is when her interest in medicine first sprouted. After college, she worked in Toronto for Mars Innovation, evaluating the clinical trial regulatory procedures within Ontario and got more acquainted with the research side of medicine. After that Dr. Nayot moved to Tel Aviv (one of her favorite places in the world) to study Medicine at the Sackler School of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. She has always been involved in the communities that she lives in, and this gave rise to her love of Family and Community Medicine.
Dr. Nayot is excited to be part of such an amazing team at Beth Israel in a program with ideals that inspired her to be a family doctor in the first place (and the location doesn’t hurt). After rotating at the program during medical school she became very interested in reproductive health and looks forward to pursuing that passion further through Beth Israel’ robust reproductive health curriculum.
In her spare time, Dr. Nayot enjoys baking, yoga, and attending the ballet and theater.
