Institute featured in SAMHSA video, “New Trends and Implications: Discoveries and Developments in Behavioral Health”
On May 1st, 2013, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), debuted a video on their website titled New Trends and Implications: Discoveries and Developments in Behavioral Health, in which the Institute is featured for our work on mental and behavioral health, substance abuse treatment and counseling, and the integration of behavioral and mental health services in primary care. The webcast is part of a series called Recovery Month, which promotes the message that behavioral health is critical to overall health, prevention is key, treatment works, and recovery in all its forms is possible. This webcast highlights the emerging findings about prevention, treatment, and recovery from the National Institutes of Health, and explores the relationship between mental health disorders and substance abuse.
